Electrical insulation is indispensable for many types of components, including electric motors. And for electrical insulation to take place, one of the products used for this is insulating paper. In this article we will talk a little about the types of insulating papers and some extra information. Good reading!
Just to reinforce, electrical insulation is essential for most equipment and accessories that depend on electrical energy loads for their operation.
Therefore, it is common that new product models aimed at this purpose are used in the market, for example, electrical insulating paper.
Electrical insulating paper is a material intended for electrical insulation of systems and equipment. However, its main purpose is to be used by industries that manufacture generators and transformers, in addition to the electric motors that we already talked about at the beginning.
This is due to the functionality and competence of this electrical insulating paper, which works perfectly in accessories that have a high frequency charge for their operation.
The electrical insulating paper, therefore, is a fundamental item that prevents accidents, short circuits and other mishaps.
This type of paper ensures the equipment’s safety and longer service life. Thus, it is not difficult for electrical insulating paper to be considered a great ally of industries and equipment.
The types of insulating papers that Geartech BR sells
So that it can be properly applied to different equipment and different functionalities, it is common for electrical insulating papers to have different models and even development from different materials. Each according to the type of application.
See below some types of insulating papers that we sell at Geartech BR:
Kraft Paper has an affordable price, in addition to versatility and strength. These are the main factors that make it so versatile. It is one of the most used types of paper in industries.
In addition, Kraft Paper is used as a wrapping for various materials, such as packaging for postal parcels. Kraft Paper is composed of a mixture of cellulose fibers from wood.
Class H 180
Class H 180 is used as an insulator for electric motor grooves. It is resistant to the rigorous machine-made winding process, and can also be applied in high temperature transformers and insulation between winding phases.
It consists of a polyester film, coated on both sides with aramid paper (Nomex®), bonded with a synthetic thermosetting adhesive.
It has high dielectric strength, excellent adhesion of impregnating varnish or drip resin to the laminate. Low moisture absorption, good thermal and chemical resistance.
Flexible electrical insulator with a smooth surface and thermal class A (105°C). These characteristics make Isolex Paper suitable for insulating channels of electric motors, transformers, rotors and switches. Can be used in joints or separators.
Diamond 130 is a kraft paper coated on one or both sides with synthetic resin in stage B for insulation between layers.
Very useful for insulating oil transformer coils and reactors. Also in the manufacture of regulators, voltage motors and especially transformers.
It is produced in brown color, with resins in the shape of triangles, which adhere to temperature during application.
These are just a few types of insulating papers you can find at Geartech BR. If you missed any other material, we have the full list on our website on the products page.
